Overview
Situated on the Milford Haven Waterway in South Wales, Dragon Energy Park is owned and operated by Dragon Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dragon LNG Group. Dragon Energy Park is home to a 9.9 MWp solar farm and 3 wind turbines with a capacity to generate 12.8 MW of electricity. The park supplies renewable electricity to Dragon LNG Limited under a commercial contract which is enough to meet 47% of the terminal’s total electricity needs.
Dragon LNG Group, a joint venture between Shell and VTTI, also owns Dragon LNG Limited which operates a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal that serves as a vital gateway for UK’s energy security by delivering nearly 10% of all gas imports.
Through its two subsidiaries, Dragon LNG are a key supplier of energy to the UK and Europe today. With our solar farm and wind turbines, we’ve delivered key investments into becoming a future energy hub.
Further expansion plans are in development to strengthen the Dragon Site as a future energies hub (CO2 etc), with new opportunities like the Milford Haven CO2 project https://milfordhavenco2project.co.uk/.
