UK Trade Strategy unveiled

Celtic Freeport has welcomed the UK Government’s new Trade Strategy, recognising its potential to unlock growth, attract investment and accelerate the transition to a greener economy.

The Celtic Freeport, centred around the deep-water ports at Port Talbot and Milford Haven, plays a critical role in supporting international trade.

The Trade Strategy is a timely step in unlocking the potential of freeports across the nation.

Celtic Freeport welcomes the UK Government’s new Trade Strategy, which closely aligns with our mission to drive major inward investment into emerging industries through our internationally connected port network. The strategy boosts opportunities for high-value exports, inward investment and sustainable development across Wales and the wider UK. We look forward to working with partners across industry and government to ensure freeports like ours remain catalysts for a prosperous future through world-class trade and logistics,” commented Luciana Ciubotariu, CEO of Celtic Freeport.
