Welsh Labour leadership candidates back Celtic Freeport vision

Welsh Government ministers and leadership candidates, Vaughan Gething MS and Jeremy Miles MS, outlined their support for the vision behind the Celtic Freeport, as part of Wales’ just transition to a decarbonised economy.

The Celtic Freeport is focused on new economic growth, future skills and manufacturing for Wales.  The Freeport will create future industries for tomorrow’s generations – boosting a just transition to a greener future rooted in fair work, well-being and social partnership.

This is an exciting project that will accelerate supply chain innovation and encourage significant investment in port infrastructure, alternative fuel plants, renewable energy bases and factories, while fast-tracking modern skills for new green industries and national decarbonisation.
